Tired of all the chocolate, then try this. Go to
and print out the 4 sheets mentioned at the top of the page. These are the cut away shapes to make an ATV, automated transfer vehicle, as designed at the ESA (European Space Agency.) You can then follow the online instructions. Doesn't look too tricky!! This agency, fast becoming the foremost space agency in the world, is based at Noordwijk, The Netherlands some 25km from Amsterdam. Here there is a fascinating museum of previous space vehicles that have travelled in space.
Have a go if you enjoy this type of activity. I would be happy to see your results. Personally, I am not good at these, usually ending with all my fingers glued together along with stray pieces of badly cut card. However, I shall have a go. I can guarantee yours will be a huge improvement on my sad attempt. The first photo depicts an artist's impression of the ATV in space. The second is an actual photo whilst it was under construction at the ESA.
